About the role:
Our client is looking to recruit an Account Manager / Business Development / Field Sales Executive / Territory Manager in the North East England territory. Working as part of the sales team, you will be responsible for proactively developing the territory to achieve targeted sales growth through established customers and through securing new business. Working closely with the internal sales and customer service teams, you will look to maximise all sales opportunities.
You’ll have a proven track record of achieving sales growth and hitting targets and be highly skilled in effectively managing personal time and productivity. You’ll be experienced in understanding customer needs and their business models whilst planning sales activities and building customer relationships towards achieving targets. You’ll also have strong communication, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills to successfully manage expectations at every level.
This dynamic role requires a confident and determined approach, a positive outlook and passion for the product, with the ability to multitask whilst working on your own initiative.
You’ll either come from a cycling, outdoor, leisure or sporting goods role, or be a cyclist/outdoor enthusiast with a sales background in consumer durables or similar products.
The successful candidate:
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth and hitting targets and be experienced in understanding customer’s needs.
• You will ideally have an in-depth knowledge of the cycling or another sporting / Outdoor discipline, and field sales based account management experience, although this is not essential.
• You will have excellent communication and listening skills and be able to build and maintain good working relationships. You will have experience of working on your own initiative and as part of a team and be friendly and professional in your approach with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
