Building Services Engineer – Mechanical Design

Pyramid8 is delighted to be supporting a local building services group, that’s in its third decade of trading.  As an established firm and a leader in its industry, its portfolio boasts several high street retails brands throughout the U.K.  Due to business growth, they are seeking a Building Services Engineer, with a mechanical design bias. 

Working on retail and commercial projects around the U.K, this is a genuine opportunity to develop your career and work autonomously within a growing business.  You will be involved in the design of mechanical services, as well as supporting contractors on-site and demonstrating design solutions to retail clients.  This mechanical design role will see you designing services involving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning predominantly for supermarkets and some commercial office space. 

To be considered, you will have experience within a retail, mechanical design environment, exposure to office projects would add weight to your application.  In addition, you will have qualified in this field, with a minimum of HNC in design of mechanical building services and working towards Chartership.  Also, you will be skilled in a variety of design tools, such as Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Tas. 

In return, you will benefit from a salary of up to £30K, along with a car allowance, pension, health cover and 22 + Bank Holidays annual leave.  This role will see you being on-site at several locations nationwide and working from its office in Wakefield, so its essential that you hold a full driving licence.
