Pyramid8 are recruiting for a Demand Planner for a leading sporting business in the Darlington. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has demand planning and forecasting experience with a large product portfolio and someone who wants to work in an exciting and fast paced goring business.

Our Client represents world-class brands in the sporting sector. Within their Head Office and Warehouse, in the North East they design and develop the UK’s best-selling sporting apparel brand. They work with the most prestigious brands in their market and supply across the UK and Europe.

 

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brand Management Team in the role of Brand Manager. Reporting to the Brand Portfolio Director and working alongside the existing team you will be responsible for;

 

  • Developing and executing an annual brand plan to deliver against portfolio strategy.
  • The introduction of new products and initiating and briefing on sales campaigns
  • Work closely with the field sales team and the retail network to add value and maintain a leading market position for your brands.
  • Delivering all activity within agreed budget
  • Taking responsibility for selection, development and growth of brands, interpreting market requirements
  • Championing and promoting the brands through an ethos of brand passion and outstanding marketing application.
  • Continually reviewing product performance and competitive positioning, to ensure the consistency with the company’s brand values and target customers, ensuring a point of difference in the market place.

 

The requirements:

You will be extremely organised, be deadline focussed and have a keen eye for detail.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a similar role in Demand Planning
  • Have a broad set of commercial skills, strong business and commercial acumen
  • A self-motivated individual who is results driven
  • Have a passion for your products and technical and market knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management experience

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience in working with demand planning software tools (such as Sage Inventory Advisor).
  • Experience in working within a continuous improvement framework.
  • Experience in using root cause analysis to safely control and countermeasure problems.

Previously worked within a distribution business.
