Pyramid8 are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Project Manager with a solid background in residential construction and damp proofing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of hands-on construction experience (5–10 years on the tools) and office-based project management expertise (minimum 5 years), enabling them to lead and manage up to 40 concurrent projects, each valued between £1,000 to £60,000.

 

This is a dynamic, office-based role that will require clear communication, strong process management skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in both commercial and social housing environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery for multiple construction projects across damp proofing, timber/concrete floor replacements, kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, and structural works.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders including tradespeople, office staff, commercial clients, and housing associations.
  • Maintain and update project data in CRM systems
  • Develop, review, and improve operational processes and project workflows.
  • Monitor project KPIs and ensure all compliance and accountability requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular communication with site teams and clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Act as a liaison between office and site, earning respect through practical knowledge and credible leadership.
  • Foster long-term relationships with commercial and social housing clients.

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–10 years hands-on experience in residential construction, ideally including damp proofing.
  • 5+ years experience in an office-based project management role.
  • Proven background managing complex residential construction projects with multiple workstreams.
  • In-depth understanding of:
    • Damp proofing and remedial works
    • Timber and concrete floor replacements
    • Kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
    • Full property rewires
    • Structural building works
  • Strong IT skills: proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using CRM and project management software (e.g., Pipedrive, Monday).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with both tradesmen and commercial clients.
  • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
