Financial Controller

Pyramid8 are recruiting for an experienced qualified Financial Controller to work with a small accounts team operating strategically alongside ambitious and entrepreneurial management in a rapidly expanding business. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team working on strategic business decisions to achieve a common goal. Your input and ideas are important and very welcome at the table! Our client is a market leader in the creative sector which include a variety of specialist products.  The business was built on a passion for their sector, providing an unrivalled experience to the consumer and developing the best products in their market and act as a reliable and trusted supplier.  They are a professional, energetic team who embrace technology and modern working methods and have developed a world-class culture across the whole business.  Their digital presence covers many marketplaces driving sales momentum across Amazon, Walmart and our own website.

The Group is an owner-managed business originating in the North East of England operating in the geographical locations of the UK, Europe, US and Canada. The Group employ 27 staff. The Group has experienced significant expansion to over $25m turnover and has further exponential growth plans.

Key role responsibilities

• To identify and improve existing financial processes and controls within the company.
• To produce management information and budgeting on a regular basis.
• To deliver tight cash controls and forecasting.
• To manage foreign currency, hedging, import and export transactions.
• To work closely with the CEO and COO on strategic financial planning.
• To work closely with key external financial stakeholders – including external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Mentor and support the Assistant Accountant

Candidate experience

The position requires an experienced ambitious Financial Controller who enjoys working as part of friendly professional team.

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant.  Ideally, 5+ years post-qualification.

Strong knowledge of Xero and ERP systems is essential.

Knowledge of ERP systems and accounting software systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central/SAP/Oracle/NetSuite, preferable, but not essential.

Hours of working

The role is primarily remote working – although there will be the requirement for in person meetings on a regular basis.

The role is 37.5 hours per week.

6 weeks annual leave.
