We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a busy, high-volume pub environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working with a mix of fresh and pre-prepared ingredients, and is ready to take full ownership of a dynamic kitchen operation.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene. You’ll lead, train, and motivate your team while maintaining strong control over stock, margins, and kitchen performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations and service
  • Manage and develop the kitchen team
  • Ensure consistent quality across all dishes
  • Work with both fresh and pre-made products effectively
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
  • Control stock, ordering, and waste management
  • Drive profitability and meet gross profit targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Good understanding of GP and cost control
  • A hands-on approach and positive attitude

The Package

  • Salary: £40,000 per year
  • Performance-based bonuslinked to gross profit targets
  • Full-time position: 5 days per week

Due to the location and working hours (including early starts and late finishes), access to your own transport is essential.
