Transport Team Leader

Pyramid8 are supporting a local and truly independent vehicle remarketing business, that is approaching 15 years in business, starting from online vehicle auctions to multisite auction centres, working in partnership with fleet companies, finance houses and dealerships, to sell circa 1,500 vehicles per auction.  They are currently looking to recruit a Transport Team Leader, to join its team in Castleford.

Reporting directly to the Head of Logistics & Planning, you will look after a small team of Vehicle Collection Coordinators and oversee all transportation and logistics for both inbound and outbound movements nationwide, across a broad spectrum of vehicles.  You will manage the team’s daily workload, have responsibility over individual performance and provide ongoing training and support.  In addition, you will ensure several systems and databases are kept up to date, jobs are being correctly processed, fees updated, and relevant paperwork issued within agreed timescales.

To be considered, you will have experience working within a transport or logistics environment, we welcome applications from experienced Team Leaders, or those who are ready for their next career step.  Future progression could see you moving into a Transport Manager opportunity, where funding will be provided to completed professional qualifications.  You will be confident and effective in communications, building working relationships with vendors and buyers.   

In return, you will receive a basic salary to £26,000, along with life assurance, pension, company performance related bonus, in addition to 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays.  This role is working Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.  The business has grown from a handful of people to 60+ employees, with a focus on team culture and development.
